Service providers also provide more features on this network, in comparison to an analog network. GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) is more expansive -- and again more feature-rich -- in nature. Pricing. Generally, cellular phone service plans provide you with a certain number of minutes per month at a certain price. Beyond this bundled price, your calls would be charged on per-minute basis. Night & Weekend and Anytime Minutes. In addition to the bundled minutes described earlier, carriers provide a huge bundle of additional minutes during nights and weekends.
